Scouts in Uruguay are working to provide housing for homeless and poor people in Uruguay. The Scouts are organising a mega rock concert to raise funds to enable Uruguayan Rover Scouts to build these houses as their Gift for Peace.

Scouts in Indonesia are rebuilding Aceh following the December 2003 Tsunami which caused tremendous damage and casualties. Their "Let's rebuild Aceh" project is a response to the economical and ecological problems resulting after the Tsunami, and also aims to improve the living conditions of the people of the region, especially the children.

Scouts from the region of Aragon in Spain are working with French Scouts from Midi-Pyrénées on issues related to water and sustainable development. They will take part in over 35 local projects in the two areas from 30 July - 6 August 2007, and will celebrate Scouting's Sunrise together on 1 August 2007. The 2000 Scouts will then come together at a trans-pyrenean Jamboree 'AquaJam' from 6-10 August to participate in workshops and forums on water and sustainable development and intercultural exchange.

Scouts in Swaziland are working to support HIV/Aids orphaned and vulnerable children through a project called 'Thirst For Life'. They are helping them to develop interpersonal and lifeskills through Scouting and are meeting the needs of their local communities by building a Centenary Centre to provide clean water for the inhabitants and to cultivate vegetables.

Scouts and Guides in Italy are organising gatherings, exhibitions and celebrations to tell everyone what Scouting is about. They will look at the educational aspects of Scouting and, in particular, the focus on peace education, and they will collect signatures to dedicate squares in several towns across Italy to "Baden Powell - Man of Peace".

Scouts in the area of Dolj in Romania are working to support disadvantaged children from a village affected by floods in the summer of 2005. They are rebuilding the local school and playground, and are sourcing classroom material. They are also setting up Cub and Scout units for the children and adolescents in the village.

Scouts in the "Ecaterina Teodoroiu" local centre in Targu-Jiu, Romania, are helping the inhabitants of a village heavily affected by floods, where many houses were destroyed. The Rovers are helping to clean up the houses, repaint them, and rebuild the wooden bridges, and the 11 to 15 age group are running activities for the children of the village, making them aware of their role in society and the existence of a wider community.
